Come lend a hand as CraftStudies builds a gingerbread house for the 23rd Annual Gingerbread Festival, hosted by The Family Place. We’ll assemble and decorate one gingerbread house to submit to the festival. Let’s get into the holiday spirit together!

The Family Place’s Gingerbread Festival is on December 5, 2025. Over 1,200 community members participate each year to support The Family Place’s programs that promote healthy children and families in our community, with all proceeds supporting The Family Place’s holistic, family-centered programs. This CraftStudies workshop is free, but donations are welcome!

Through demonstration and one-on-one instruction, we will build on each student's interests and skills. Bring your desire to get your hands dirty! Designed for all potters, from the absolute beginners to those with experience and enthusiasm to continue learning in a supportive environment.

Supplies: Clay is not included with registration and must be purchased through the Supply Shop.

Open Studio: Open Studio is included with registration for the duration of your class.

Are you a confident beginner or intermediate sewist? Join us for a weekend intensive working on wardrobe-worthy projects. Bring your own patterns or make a top and bottom set of tried and true wardrobe staples, as you learn new skills and perfect the ones you know.

Coffee and snacks will be provided each day, so you can spend the weekend stitching.

Supplies: Bring your sewing machine (plus its feet and manual) or use one of the studio's sewing machines.

In addition, print your patterns on size A0 paper at your local copy shop. Ask the shop to print at 100% with no scaling or tiling.

Mary will be in touch with students in advance of the class to discuss your goals and appropriate fabric selection.
