Explore approaches to slab building and surface design as we build a set of mugs. Create an array of stamps that will add pattern and texture to your hand-built pottery. Our first session will focus on construction and texturing, our second session will be dedicated to exploration and refinement, and the third session will be devoted to glaze techniques.

Introduction to Wheel Throwing: Week-Long Intensive (IN PROGRESS)

Monday, August 12th - Friday, August 16, 2024 | 1 - 4P daily | 5 sessions | $300

Spend a week in the Ceramics Studio learning and refining your skill of the fundamentals of pottery on the wheel: centering, making simple functional forms, decoration and glazing. In this class designed for beginning and intermediate potters, Sarah will build on each students interests and skills.

Supplies: Clay is not included with registration and must be purchased through the CraftStudies Supply Shop.
