On the first day of this two-part dyeing workshop, learn the basics of hand-painting yarn & color choice. Dye sample skeins using four different techniques: variegated, “pansy”, speckled, and gradient. Knit up samples in between the sessions to get a feel for your desired color combinations and fabric composition. The second day will focus on your own dyeing designs. Use up to 8 oz of your own hand-spun yarn, or purchase yarn to dye in class.
Supplies: $60 supply fee payable to Teaching Artist on the day of the workshop.
Teaching Artist: Ellen Minard
